Santa visits The Old Station!
12th December 2020
The Museum teamed up with Strathpeffer Community Centre and The Strathpeffer Pavilion Trust to invite Santa along to the Old Station to make sure all of the children who visited received a gift. Strathpeffer and District Rowing Club were a great help in making sure Santa had a marvelous sleigh-like grotto where he could hand presents out to the children – from a suitable 2 meter distance of course!
Santa was visited by almost one hundred children and their families! Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event.
Winter Market is a Great Success!
28th November 2020
It was great to see the Old Station platform busy with visitors at our first Winter Market. A varied selection of stallholders displayed amazing, locally produced goods that were snapped-up swiftly by shoppers supporting small, local businesses. Following on from supportive feedback, plans are most definitely in the pipelines for a Spring Market in 2021. Thanks again to all who supported the event.
Cleaning Up the Car Park!
15th November 2020
Some of the Museum’s Volunteers and Trustees got together recently, with lots of fresh air and ample distancing of course, to clear up the fallen leaves and overhanging branches that were taking up a lot of room in the Old Station car park. What a difference they made! Thanks to all for their hard work and good company on the day!
We’ve always got open arms for anyone who may like to come along and give a little of their time, knowledge and skills to the Museum or Old Station gardens and grounds. Drop in or contact us to express your interest.
