The Trust has owned the Old Station buildings and grounds since 2009 and has managed the museum since 1994 when it opened. The museum participates in the Museum Accreditation Scheme, administered by Museums Galleries Scotland, in conjunction with Arts Council England – ensuring that sector Standards and Best Practice guidelines are fundamental to our work. The museum is also a member of Museums and Heritage Highland and the Scottish Community Heritage Alliance.
Our Workforce
The Trust employs a part-time Curator and Manager, Morven MacDonald, who is supported by a dedicated and loyal team of Volunteers and Board of Trustees. Our current Trustees are:
