The museum will remain open throughout the Winter months during 2020/2021. Our opening hours are:
Thursday to Saturday, 11:00 to 16:00, Sunday, 12:00 to 16:00,
Monday to Wednesday CLOSED.

There is a gift shop within the museum, offering a selection of toys, books and gifts for all ages. Visitors may browse the museum shop free of charge if they prefer to bypass our intriguing museum exhibitions.

The Old Station and Museum are first left on entering the village from Dingwall. There is a brown tourism sign “The Highland Museum of Childhood” seen when approaching from Dingwall. You can also approach on the A834 from the west – in which case the brown tourism sign points to the right.
Our facilities at the Old Station include a car-park with disabled parking, accessible gardens, public toilets, tea room and shops. There is also free WI-FI along the platform area. Entrance to the museum is directly from the car park, whilst shops and tea room are accessed from the garden and platform side of the station.
